How To Doily Up Votive Candles

This craft project couldn’t be more simple, functional, eco-conscious, and decorative! I found initial inspiration via Craft Gossip!

Lacey

I had leftover doilies from a GALentines Day brunch. But I didn’t have colored votive candles. So instead, I grabbed my trusty highlighters and went to work.

Time: 9 minutes

Materials:

  • doilies
  • highlighters/markers (optional if you’re a purist)
  • glue guns

It sounds bizarre that it only has three steps, but it does! It is the simplest project I’ve done yet.

Step 1:

Find the right size doily for your candle.

Step 2:

Color your doilies. If you’ve got color candles, you’re set.

Step 3:

Wrap the doily around the candle gently and using your glue gun, glue along the borders and shaping the doily as you go.

Doily Votive Candles

Because no picture is complete without a cat and a Paris snow globe.

Get creative with your votive doily candles and you can even use them as decorations when not in use!
