In anticipation of National Crochet Month, I wanted to pick a project to get a jump start and while looking through our crochet books, I stumbled upon Crochet-opedia by Julie Oparka.

Crochet-opedia is designed to help you master each method before moving on to the next intricate stitch or beautiful project. With answers to questions and helpful tips sprinkled throughout that encourage crocheters to explore the craft and help eliminate common mistakes, this comprehensive guide is really the only reference needed to master the art of crochet. Also included is a stitch directory with color swatches, plus complete directions and photographs for 30 enticing projects.

I’ve been known to drop my cell phone at least once a day. So when I came across the PHONE COZY pattern, I knew I found the perfect project!

It’s a simple, beginner’s pattern and I hope it turns out well. I’ll be sure to post pictures when it’s complete.
