75 Floral Blocks to Knit by Lesley Stanfield

75 Floral Blocks to Knit (click on the cover to buy)
Beautiful Patterns to Mix & Match for Throws, Accessories, Baby Blankets & More
$21.99/$24.99 Can.
128 pages, trade paperback with French Flaps

Our latest book from Lesley Stanfield is sure to be a crowd-pleaser! Featuring a wide array of gorgeous floral blocks—from traditional designs inspired by quilts from the 19th century, to blocks containing raised and textural effects, and colorful stockinette-stitch pictorial designs, there’s something on every page for you to incorporate into your next project. The “Mix and Match” suggestions sprinkled throughout the book are my favorite part: It takes all the guesswork out of the equation for how to pair the blocks. The only problem I’m having now is where to begin! I keep flipping through the book trying to figure out which block to knit first, but every time I get to the next page, I change my mind. See the sample pages below to see what I mean.

If you’d like to win your very own copy of 75 Floral Blocks to Knit along with two skeins of Lion Brand’s LB Collection Cotton Bamboo yarn, then leave a comment below. (Please only one comment per person.) This giveaway will run from February 1 — February 8. Two winners will be chosen at random using random.org on Friday, February 9. Good luck!

I can see a beautiful throw made with a few of these prettyblocks. Or maybe all blocks of the rose pattern but in different colors. Like a sample quilt only cozier! What a nice book.

I probably could list 75 reasons why I’d love to win, but I’ll just share three: Winning Lesley Stanfield’s “75 Floral Blocks to Knit” and two skeins of Lion Brand’s LB Collection Cotton Bamboo yarn would thrill me because it would help me learn new techniques, practice my current skills, and result in me creating gorgeous, unique samplers in the process.

So many beautiful possibilities and what better time than now…the week of my birthday and my son for whom I pick up knitting and crocheting again while pregnant with him. It was a miracle in itself (long story) then having him became the miracle after many long troubled days and nights. It was hard/complicated pregnancy that resulted in multiple premature labor and a long hospital stay. Crafting was therapy to keep me calm and occupied. It was a very stressful struggle for the both of us. In the end he was born prematurely and almost did not make it. He went into fetal distress. The doctor almost did an emergency C-section…WHILE I was still conscience but after everything I went through just trying to get pregnant and after suffering multiple second trimester miscarriages; he did not want me to loose another baby. Luckily for me, the anestiologist was able to get past not getting my IV line running and I was out! He was born. he was my miracle baby; born on Valentine’s Day just a few days short of my own birthday. So fingers cross for a win and a happy birthday gift that will allow me to continue to give back even more knitted and crochet items.
